What's On Tonight (Tuesday): "One Day At A Time" Continues Its Season

Via Tenor
Hello Everybody, Tonight there is really again not a whole heck of a lot, but what there is is the continuation of the new season of One Day At A Time on Pop! This is What's On for June 16th 2020

8:00

NCIS (CBS): Rerun of that time a petty officer son got murdered and lab tech Kasie is chagrined to find that the evidence that she herself is processing seems to point in the direction of a lifelong friend of hers. Can she help clear her old friend or is she dooming him by doing her job here? (CBS!)

America's Got Talent (NBC): Auditions 4

The Conners (ABC): Back to back reruns in this hour from late November and early Decemeber---the episodes being rerun are "Lanford-Toilet of Sin" (ha!) (which is about Jackie trying to come up with the capital to re-open "The Lunchbox" while Darlene makes a last ditch effort to get back in Harris's life after she moves out and ignores everyone of Darlene's attempts to reach out to her.) and "Smoking Penguins and Santa on Santa Action" (This was their Christmas one where everyone but Becky forgets Dan's birthday and the family does a Christmas card photo, but Dan doesn't like how Jackie has been treating Louise so he asks her not to show up if she can't treat Louise nicely, which well you can imagine how that goes)

Hell's Kitchen (FOX): The continued rerunning of the Fall '17 season.

Stargirl (The CW): Pat finds himself one step closer to learning which ISA members may be in Blue Valley; a search for Rick leads Courney, Yolanda, and Beth to Cindy Burman's Halloween Party. (Its a little early for Halloween no???)

American Masters (PBS): "Mae West-Dirty Blonde" 90 minute profile of bawdy 30's film star Mae West and a look at her 8 decade long career. (wow!) This is actually NEW tonight too! (I might actually DVR this!!!!)

Love In the Forecast (Hallmark): An aspiring meteorologist befriends a neighbor who teaches her the importance of trusting both nature and each other. (Does love bloom?) Starring Cindy Busby and Christopher Russell. (nods) (I actually kinda like the premise of this one--you don't see too many "aspiring meteorologists" in movies or tv shows these days)

9:00

FBI (CBS): Rerun of that time the team had to investigate a car bombing which was targeting a female Presidential candidate. (A current one or a previous one?) (The answer: A current fictional one!) (Ah-Ha!)

Black-ish (ABC): This show finally gets a placement on the summer schedule with which to air reruns of its past season. This time we get an episode from October that has Dre and Bow considering cutting Junior off financially until he decides to finally get a job since they feel he's drifting.

24 Hours To Hell and Back (FOX): Rerun

Marina Franklin-Single Black Female (The CW): The comedian gets her Comedy Central special rerun in primetime.

Lost Gold of World War 2 (History): Recently discovered Golden maps lead the team to discover new access points for reaching the void space under the waterfall. (I guess that'll happen)

Chopped (Food): Fish heads in the appetizer round; a strange flavored thing threatens to throw off the chefs, and an odd taffy perplexes those in the dessert round. (An odd taffy???)

Drain (Nat Geo): The Lost Wrecks of World War 2

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): Gomer gets sent on an errand downtown and somehow ends up on a jet to Rome. (That Gomer I tells ya...)

9:30

One Day At A Time (POP): Top Pick of the night goes to the continued 4th season of this rebooted sitcom---you know the story, cancelled by Netflix, saved by Viacom owned subchannel Pop. (which itself used to be The TV Guide Channel) Tonight we have "The Politics Episode" which has Penelope's conservative family coming to visit, which Penelope dreads because with the Election coming up, she's worried they won't be able to avoid the usual fighting over politics that comes with it, and this leaves the Alvarez family strategizing how to get thru it intact.

Frontline (PBS): What Went Wrong?" How the US was caught unprepared by the arrival of the coronavirus. (Yeah, its not like the government didn't know it was coming, it was reported on in the news as far back as January!)(but yeah we as a nation didn't seem to think it would hit us so hard here for some reason)

Mixed-ish (ABC): Much like Black-ish, summer reruns of the past season of this show finds a regular place on the summer schedule to air. This one goes all the way back to the beginning of the season (and the series) as the show reruns its 2nd episode here which has Bow trying to find her place among the cliques at her school.

Green Acres (MeTV): Confusion over boundary lines turns the farm upside down. (Flip turned upside down!)

10:00

FBI's Most Wanted (CBS): Rerun of that time the team had to track down a cyberstalker who tries to get revenge on people he feels wronged him. (I'm guessing that involves murder since pretty much every person this show tracks down is a murderer, it would actually qualify as a change of pace if they weren't tracking down a murderer for once!)

World of Dance (NBC): Qualifiers 4

The Genetic Detective (ABC): "The Deadly Playdate" (That sounds like an episode title of a Quinn Martin show)

Dirty John (USA): "More To It Than Fun"---Betty sees her life has been a sham for years now. (Well that is the premise of the show so its nice that Betty is now filled in on that very premise)

Tirdy Works (Tru TV): Mary and Eb entrap Kate to run a social networking for Tirdy Works while knockoff bird products surface at Hussey's.

Supermarket Stakeout (Food):

Stonehenge Decoded (Nat Geo): New Discoveries At Stonehenge (???)

I GUESS THAT'S IT FOR TONIGHT. HAVE A GOOD TUESDAY ONE AND ALL!
