What's On Tonight (Saturday): Kneel before Havoc!

Dr. Havoc's Diary
Greetings, fellow humans! Tonight, we stay up past our bedtime and hone in on the short-form puppet comedy Dr. Havoc's Diary. It's not a recent show, premiering in 2016 and making its screen debut as part of truTV's Rachel Dratch's Late Night Snack, but recently joined Syfy's TZGZ lineup. The show follows the misadventures of Dr. Havoc, a mid-level supervillain who is struggling to make a name for himself, has a messy family life, and is often foiled by his arch-nemesis, Secret Agent Brock Mason. Episodes run about six minutes (all 30 can be found on Syfy's website and app), so don't expect anything elaborate. It is an entertaining-enough quick bite show, often silly in poking fun at spy and superhero media. Each episode ends with Dr. Havoc writing a few thoughts in his diary.

Elsewhere, the Casagrandes wants air conditioning, Natalie Portman is in the sky, Fleming and Arnott look up their chain of command for the real corrupt criminals, Frankie Drake searches for a violin, and Harley Quinn wants an arch-nemesis. Busy girl, gotta go, here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, May 30!

Despicable Me 2 ðŸŽ¥ (NBC, 8 p.m.): The once-villainous Gru is back but now he is a family man. I know I saw this in the theater but I couldn't tell you much about it now.

Lucy in the Sky ðŸŽ¥ (HBO, 8 p.m.): In this disliked movie from last year, astronaut Natalie Portman returns to Earth after a transcendent experience during a mission to space, and begins to lose touch with reality in a world that now seems too small... because of space diamonds.✔️

Lucy in the Sky (via Giphy)

Matlock ðŸ“º (Decades, 10 p.m.): Spend the weekend with grandma and grandpa's favorite '80s drama. In this episode, two sisters with a penchant for murder do away with their rich aunt and frame their uncle, whom the almighty Andy Taylor Matlock agrees to defend. I still get theme song stuck in my head from time to time.

⭐ Dr. Havoc's Diary (Syfy, 1:08 & 1:59 a.m.): Episodes of this wannabe-supervillain puppet show are never quite at the same time every week. If you haven't seen an episode before, that's okay; each episode stands alone. Sometimes they focus Dr. Havoc's nemesis, Secret Agent Brock Mason. Sometimes they're a buddy show about other supervillains. Sometimes they are about family life and his wife and teenage daughter, both of whom have nil respect for him. Sometimes they focus on heists, which never go right. Tonight, Dr. Havoc finds out the truth about his mad scientist's, Professor Von Duct, pathetic assistant, who sorta resembles Havoc. Later, while working on a space laser, Havoc faces the world's youngest superheroes: Action Boy and Fantasti-Girl. He previously battled Millennial Man. Yeah, superheroes and secret agents live side by side in this world.

Gary and His Demons (Syfy, 1 a.m.): Gary forms a bond with a tiger after it saves him from a demon, but then the big cat starts exhibiting demonic behavior.

Harley Quinn (Syfy, 12:30 a.m.): In episode four, Harley Quinn seeks help in finding a perfect match... for an arch-nemesis. Her team calls in King Shark but when the public matches her with Robin, she gets livid. This episode is top-tier television.✔️

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind (Adult Swim, 2 a.m.): After the battle between Risotto and Doppio, Abbacchio uses Moody Blues to learn the boss' identity.
