What's On Tonight (Tuesday): Grab Your Gear As NCIS Runs Out of Episodes After Tonight

Hello all, tonight Corona Shutdown Comes for NCIS (Nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!) as well as New Amsterdam (meh) We still have one more week of ABC sitcoms and Fox's Empire, and I'm not entirely sure how many eps of The Flash and Legends of Tomorow we still have on tap but tonight both of them are still in rerun mode anyways. This Is What's On for April 14th 2020

8:00

NCIS (CBS): Top Pick of the Night goes to the most reliably sturdy show on TV as it bows out of its 17th season (Wow!) with "the team tries to verify the identity of Joe Smith, who claims to have served on the USS Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor and wants to be buried there upon his death." (I could think of worse sounding plotlines for the show to end a season on honestly as unplanned as this was for a season's end.)

Ellen's Game of Games (NBC): "Life In the Blast Lane" (Sure enough to make you lose your mind)

The Masked Singer (FOX): Rerun of the Super Bowl episode it looks like. (Is there anyone here who didn't see that???)

The Conners (ABC): Dan is finally ready to share his feelings with Louise; Darlene realizes how badly she wants another baby; Ben gets caught up playing handyman and babysitter for Becky which ends up causing him to miss an important meeting. (Huh, I didn't even know Ben and Becky knew each other beyond knowing who the other one was)

The Flash (The CW): Rerun of the time they tried to take down a meta named "Sunshine" (Sunshine???) (This reminds me of a friend I used to hang out with in college whom my other friends nicknamed "Sunshine Boy" because of his continually gloomy outlook--ahhh those were the days my friend)

The Gene-An Intimate History (PBS): Gene therapists wrestle with moral implications of new tests that offer both promise and peril; a young scientist with spinal muscular atrophy researches a treatment for her condition. (nods) (PBS! PBS! PBS!)

Love By Chance (Hallmark): Your Hallmark Movie of the Night is this one where "Claire who owns a new restaurant is too busy for relationships, so her mom tries to find her the perfect man without telling her" (I bet this goes well!) Starring Ben Ayers, Beau Garrett, Brenda Strong (hey a name i actually recognize!), and Garwin Sandford.

8:30

Bless This Mess (ABC): Mike's family comes to Bucksnort to surprise him on his birthday; a shocking family secret involving Rudy is unveiled; Constance and Clara attempt to help Brandon find a girlfriend via online dating apps. (I bet this goes well!) (Bless This Mess! Bless This Mess! Bless This Mess!)

9:00

FBI's Most Wanted (CBS): Airing two back to back episodes tonight for some reason is this spinoff show which up first has "After a small town police officer claims he's the victim of a deep rooted conspiracy and begins taking revenge on those he believes are responsible for his downfall, Jess and the team learn that he may in fact be right" (Huh, looks like the deep state has made it onto a CBS procedural! That's the big time you know!)

New Amsterdam (NBC): The 2nd season finale of this medical show finds multiple patients beginning to show similar alarming symptoms causing Sharpe and Bloom to scramble to figure out the issue's root cause; Max (aka Dr. New Amsterdam) works to get a child with a rare muscular disease into the country's only clinical trial that could extend his life. (This episode for some reason is running until 10:10) (Also New Amsterdam, I know I say this every week, but this time I mean it--You've Become Much Too Much!)

Empire (FOX): Luscious' attempt to continue running Empire from afar hits a snag when he comes across some of Andre's business missteps by way of Kelly Patel (somehow it always seems to come back to Kelly Patel); Cookie tries to relaunch BoosyFest but is met with major obstacles from the ASA's; Hakeem and Maya's unlikely partnership proves to be beneficial but is one of them reading too much into it as well? (The answer is of course!)

Mixed-ish (ABC): After learning that scientists predict the Ozone Layer will be gone in the next couple of decades, Rainbow panics and tries to implement Earth Day at school; Rainbow is then forced to take matters into her own hands to fight for the cause. (The Earth Day cause???) (Is it Earth Day yet btw???)

Legends of Tomorrow (CBS): Rerun of the William Shakespeare one, also the last episode with Brendan Routh and Nora Dhark. (awww)

Curse of Oak Island (History): The Restalls return to Oak Island with exciting new artifacts; Rick, Marty and the team reach new depths in the Money Pit in their final push before winter comes. (Winter Is Coming Money Pit!)

Chopped (Food): 3 previous winners try to prove themselves even further by challenging judge Scott Connant for some reason. (nods) "For Some Reason!!!"

Ghost Adventures (Travel): Exploring an old Texas inn built on top of old battlegrounds; a notorious prison in Missouri.

Deadliest Catch (Discovery): SEASON 16 Premieres tonight (hey that's one less than NCIS!) as Josh
and Casey uncover lost history on the Cornelia Maine that could change the business forever.

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): Sgt. Carter is surprised when he learns that Gomer is being transferred. (It looks like this is a rerun of the series finale!!!!) (WOW!!!!)

9:30

Black-ish (ABC): Dre realizes that he needs to intervene when Pops starts gambling and partying like back in the old days to try and hide his heartbreak; Bow pawns school drop off duties onto Junior so that she can avoid an annoying parent. (I like the idea of a Lawrence Fishburne centered episode for the record) (Also the episode is titled--get this--"Earl, Interrupted" Get it? Get it? You get it!)

One Day At A Time (POP):  "One Halloween At A Time" (so i'm guessing its Halloween time there?)

Green Acres (MeTV): Eleanor the cow ruins Eb's chances of winning a radio contest. (The Cow ruins this???)

10:00

FBI's Most Wanted (CBS): In the 2nd of tonight's back-to-back episodes we got "After a manipulative student commits murder in a fit of jealousy, the team races to capture her before she escapes across the borderline; Jess teaches Tali how to stand up to bullies" ("don't know why i'm still a nice guy, but i'm getting close to the borderline...yeah, uh-huh....Close To The Borderliiiinnnne!!!!") (That's a Billy Joel song btw)

Coronavirus Pandemic (NBC): More News Filling In For a Lack of Content!

For Life (ABC): Aaron pushes to represent longtime inmate Easley Barton, hoping that winning the 23 year old case against Maskins will strengthen his own case; Captain Foster continues his drug smuggling racket; and Marie struggles with her breakup with Darius. (Drug Smuggling Racket?!?!?!?)

Definition of Insanity (PBS): A team of public servants in Florida's Miami Dade County (Hey that's where CSI Miami was based!)  helps people with mental illness move on from tragedy to new possibilities. (Nice)

Hot Ones the Game Show (Tru TV): 2 teachers get schooled by hot sauce; and a rapper and his management break into a sweat as they try try to beat the heat; 25K is up for grabs in the Pepperdome! (shakes head)

Secret of Skinwalker Ranch (History): a life threatening incident forces the team to re-assess their methods of investigation, while disturbing new evidence has Tom and Travis on edge. (nods)

Supermarket Stakeout (Food):

Ghost Nation (Travel):

10:30

The Last O.G. (TBS): Trey meets his new neighbors as he settles into his new apartment; Shay has mixed feelings when she learns that Shahzad's queen is a white girl. (I'll say there's some mixed feelings there, Shay's husband is White Josh!)

THAT"S ALL I GOT FOR RIGHT NOW! HAVE A GOOD TUESDAY! I"LL BE DOING VIRTUAL TRIVIA AGAIN AS USUAL TOMORROW NIGHT BUT I'LL STILL BE AROUND!
