Jeopardy! recap for Tue., Mar. 3

Introducing today's contestants:

- Kim, a homemaker and retired engineer from Colorado,  had a too-friendly dog with an exhausted tail;
- Mike, a writer from Illinois, won his wife over by not being seen or heard; and
- Bruce, a software engineer from California, wants the Bears to go. Bruce entered the game as a one-day champ with winnings of $13,245.

Bruce scored on both DDs in DJ to open a big lead, but Mike finished well to keep it competitive going into FJ with $15,600 vs. $23,000 for Bruce and $9,000 for Kim.

DD1, $800 - "LIST" BUCKET - From the Greek for "beauty" & "strength", it's basic exercises for fitness with little use of special equipment (Mike won $800 to climb out of the red.)

DD2, $2,000 - WATERFALLS - In 2009 Hugo Chavez declared that this waterfall should be referred to by its indigenous name, Kerepakupai Mera (Bruce won $5,000 from his total of $11,800 vs. $8,800 for Mike.)

DD3 - $1,600 - LUKE - Unlike the other gospels, Luke has the story of this man who helped a wounded stranger after others had passed him by (Bruce won $3,000 from his score of $20,000 vs. $13,200 for Mike.)

FJ - CHILDREN'S BOOKS - This book as published in Latin as "Virent Ova! Viret Perna!!"

Only Mike was correct on FJ, adding $11,000 to win with $26,600.

Triple Stumper of the day: No one knew the "Through the Looking Glass" twins Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

Musical miscues: The players were stumped by the "Just A Girl" performer who had a charitable stint in Vegas, Gwen Stefani. They also couldn't come up with the first parts of the song titles of James Taylor's "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You") or The Pretenders' "Brass In Pocket (I'm Special)".

Correct Qs:
DD1 - What is calisthenics?
DD2 - What is Angel Falls?
DD3 - Who is the Good Samaritan?
FJ - What is "Green Eggs and Ham"?
