What's on Tonight (Wednesday): Devoid of parents is anything but a Party for these five

Party of Five (via Giphy)
Hola mi Que Esta Noche-ers! Top pick tonight goes to Freeform's Party of Five reboot which it turns out is pretty darn good. Instead of the parents' death, the Acosta parents are deported to Mexico. Honestly, it makes the children's lives (Emilio, Beto, Lucia, Valentina, and baby Rafa) more traumatic; this is something they can't get over. Teen angst aside, there are a lot of subtle commentaries and dissection of class, minorities, and healthcare. I might even go so far as to say... it's better than the original. Elsewhere, Lara Jean is back, your doggo's loyalty origin story, Survivor is over the hill, there's new Soup for you, it's Valentine's Day at The Coterie, and MoFam goes to Paris. Aaaaaaanyway... here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, February 12!

Law & Order 📺 (WE, 8 p.m.): The season 19 finale with Tom Everett Scott and Luke Kirby! The murder of a well-known charity executive leads detectives down a path of political intrigue.
This is followed by the first episodes of the final season, which was a damn good season.

⭐ Party of Five (Freeform, 9 p.m.): Lucia, who has recently been bitten by the activist bug, decides to host a fundraiser at the restaurant and finds her voice along the way. Eldest Emilio faces an identity crisis. Beto goes behind his girlfriend Ella's back, which is how 80% of all teen angst drama originates. Young Val, trying to be a different person at her dance class, struggles to maintain her false identity. That girl needs some therapy or siblings that are more willing to be confided in. Their parents are still a part of their lives, though not daily anymore, and watching that makes the show's social commentary excruciating and rather important.
