Kristyna had the lead when she picked DD3 and was correct, but went with a small wager, which along with a $4,000 negative score adjustment, allowed Danyelle to take first place going into FJ with $9,800 vs. $9,200 for Kristyna and $5,600 for champ Vinny.
DD1, $1,000 - TIME ZONE CITIES - Detroit, Michigan (Kristyna won $2,000 from her score of $2,200.)
DD2, $1,200 - "M"EN OF THE PAST - On July 20, 1937, we short-waved goodbye to this Italian inventor (Vinny lost $3,000 from his total of $5,800 vs. $7,800 for Danyelle.)
DD3, $1,600 - I WRITE A SYMPHONY - The Finnish govt. commissioned him to write a symphony to celebrate his own 50th birthday & he conducted the premiere on the same day (Kristyna won $1,000 from her score of $8,600 vs. $7,800 for Danyelle.)
FJ - AMERICAN HISTORY - After statesman and banker Robert Morris turned down a job offer from George Washington, this man took the job
Everyone was correct on this very easy FJ. Danyelle made an unusual play from the lead by only betting $3,612, but Kristyna also made a small bet of $2,001, so Danyelle scored the victory with $13,412.
That's before our time: No one knew Erich Segal's "weepy bestseller about a dying coed" from five decades ago, "Love Story".
Jeopardy! rule book: A clue made a reference to "gangster rap" (not "gangsta"), but don't take that to mean you can respond with "Gangster's Paradise".
