Jeopardy! recap for Wed., Feb. 5

Introducing today's contestants:

- Justin, a voiceover artist from California, has performed Shakespeare at the Globe;
- Paige, an English professor from Massachusetts, has rapidly-growing pet land snails; and
- Travis, a management consultant from Pennsylvania, got stuck in a hotel bathroom. Travis entered the game as a two-day champ with winnings of $20,002.

Justin missed both DDs in DJ, helping champ Travis hang on to first place going into FJ with $11,000 vs. $8,600 for Paige and $6,400 for Justin.

DD1, $400 - WORLD LEADERS - In 2003 it all came crashing down around him, including his statue on April 9 (Travis won $1,200 on a true DD.)

DD2 (video), $2,000 - A COLORFUL CATEGORY - Here's this mountain range mentioned in the opening of "Take Me Home, Country Roads" (Justin lost $3,000 from his score of $5,600 vs. $6,600 for Travis.)

DD3, $2,000 - SHOW TUNE RHYMES - In "It's the Hard Knock Life", Annie laments, "No one cares for you a smidge, when you're in" this place (Justin dropped $3,000 from his total of $7,400 vs. $7,800 for Travis.)

FJ - AMERICAN HISTORY - At Harper's Ferry, John Brown & his rebels were defeated by troops commanded by this man who 2 years later led a rebel army himself

Travis and Paige were correct on FJ, with Travis adding $6,201 to win with $17,201 for a three-day total of $37,203.

Triple Stumper of the day: For a second-row clue in the first round, no one guessed the sport that's the main interest of a Spanish sports daily newspaper is soccer.

Comedy corner: All three players got into the act, as Paige said the movie "W." was directed by Oliver North, Travis called spittoons a musical instrument and Justin put Broadway's "Annie" in the fridge.

Correct Qs:
DD1 - What was Saddam Hussein?
DD2 - What are the Blue Ridge Mountains?
DD3 - What is orphanage?
FJ - Who was Robert E. Lee?
