Is this something farmers have to decide for themselves??? I never actually thought about this before being a city boy and all. This is What's On for January 21st 2020 (1/21/20)
Spongebob Squarepants has a new episode airing on Nick in the pre-primetime time of 7:30. I didn't even Spongebob was still producing new episodes but apparently they are which i guess makes it noteworthy enough to include here.
8:00
NCIS (CBS): After a body is found at an unmanned aerial vehicle testing site, the team is sent to determine if it was an accident or murder; After putting it off as long as he could Jimmy Palmer must finally interview some new Medical Examiner assistant candidates. (Definitely, definitely murder--I mean it's gotta be murder--its NCIS!) (Also i get Palmer's reluctance to field some new assistants, i mean he's essentially trying to find a replacement for himself to aid him while he becomes the new Ducky)
Ellen's Game of Games (NBC): "Highway To the Danger World" (shrugs)
The Resident (FOX): Conrad meets with a high profile soccer player showing some mysterious symptoms; Nic springs into action when she notices Kyle falling into a deep depression and fears he could be suicidal; Devon butts heads with Irving over patient space. (Do i know who Kyle is???? I watch the show here and there, so I should know who Kyle is right???)
The Conners (ABC): The family struggles to accept Becky's new boyfriend who is a Green Bay Packers fan; Dan tries to impress upon Mark the importance of the family's loyalty to the Bears (Da Bears); Ben and Darlene try to get a loan for their new magazine. (The episode is titled "Throwing a Christian To A Bear") (Ha)
Arrow (The CW): In the year 2040, Mia Queen has everything she could ever want until Laurel and Dinah suddenly show up again and things take a shocking turn; Laurel and Dinah track a kidnapping victim who has direct ties to Mia. (So this is not the finale as I had was going to be airing tonight, but not yet apparently---Also what is possibly left for Arrow as a show to do at this point i mean you know??? They've kinda done everything already!)
Finding Your Roots (PBS): This week we get the trio of Jeff Goldblum, Terry Gross, and Marc Maron. (That's a good trio honestly!)
Henry Danger (Nick): When Henry accidentally destroys a favorite movie prop of Rays called "The Theranos Boot", he and Jasper travel to an alternate dimension to secure a replacement for it. (nods)
Love On the Slopes (Hallmark): Your Hallmark Channel Movie of the Night is this one where "A copy editor from NY and an extreme sports enthusiast meet at a winter resort" Starring Katrina Bowden (from 30 Rock right?) and Thoma Deaudoin
8:30
Bless This Mess (ABC): Top Pick of the night goes to this largely likeable sitcom (mostly cause it hasn't had it yet this season to be honest) with "Mike and Rio must decide what seed to start growing on their farm; Rio tries to get Beau and Kay's relationship to set sail; Jacob shadows Constance for a school project making Rudy a nervous wreck when they start discussing catching criminals." (I forget now, is Rudy a criminal??? I know he's kinda quirky and lives in Mike and Rio's barn, and wears a lot of flannel cause he's Ed Begley Jr but i kinda forget his backstory)
All That (Nick): The cast 3D prints a new cast member (whoa!); there's a game show sketch where the contestants can't or won't get off the phone. (nods) All That and More!
9:00
FBI (CBS): The son of a retired agent is kidnapped and the team must investigate if its an act of revenge or what; Isobel must make a hard call when info from the past comes to light. (FBI! CBS! I got nothin' here)
This Is Us (NBC): The episode is titled "A Hell Of A Week Part 1" which would seem to indicate that there will be a Part 2. There is literally no other summary of the episode available on the cable guide, but the ads show Randall doing a "You Shall Not Pass" to a guy wielding a knife (or maybe a gun) at him in his living room (apparently at the end of last week's episode Randall walked downstairs to find a guy had broken into his house pointing a weapon at him) DRAMA!!!
Gordon Ramsey's 24 Hours To Hell and Back (FOX): Caneda's White Rooster--Gordon revamps a Cuban inspired restaurant in Tom's River New Jersey.
Mixed-ish (ABC): Paul speaks at the school assembly on MLK Day, the kids thinking he's gonna embarrass them all opt to skip it as best as they can. (So is the end of the episode gonna be that he doesn't embarrass them and then they all feel bad that they missed out on a great speech???)
D.C.'s Legends of Tomorrow (The CW): Sara, Ray, and Mick are shocked to discover that the Legends have become famous; the Legends discover that their new problem is Rasputin; Constantine thinks that he knows the reason for the new time blips and informs the team that it won't be easy to fix. (Are things on this show ever really easy to fix tho??? Rarely right? Also Rasputin??? Hmmm)
Secrets of the Dead (PBS): Bombing Auschwitz--Upon hearing stories of 2 jewish prisoners escaping from the concentration camp, the allies consider bombing it in an effort to save lives in the future. (I can't think of anything snarky to say about this quite honestly)
Curse of Oak Island (History): Excitement abounds when Gary uncovers what could be a friend of the cross. (A friend of the cross???)
Chopped (Food): $50,000 Champs Challenge.
Life Below Zero (Nat Geo): "Shock and Awe"
Moonshiners (Discovery): "Tickle To the Rescue"
Gomer Pyle (MeTV): Gomer is entrusted with the safety of the Colonel's daughter but ends up losing her at a Go-Go Club! (Ohhh that Gomer!!!)
9:30
Black-ish (ABC): The Johnsons go on vacation at an all-inclusive beach resort in paradise, Dre and Bow meet a couple without kids and live a kidless fantasy for a while; Junior catches the eye of a cute girl and vies for her attention (Been There!); Jack gets the flu. (Also been there!) (Kidless In Paradise sounds like it could be a parody version of Cheeseburger in Paradise)
Green Acres (MeTV): Rerun of the show's pilot in which some city slickers buy themselves a farm! A FARM!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?!?!?!?
10:00
FBI's Most Wanted (CBS): When a young mass shooting survivor radicalizes into becoming an anti government wacko, the team must track him down before he can exact revenge on those he believe have failed him. (The word wacko was my term and not the official term used by the summary writer--they used the word terrorist, but i think i like wacko better honestly)
New Amsterdam (NBC): Max and Luna make friends in an unexpected place as Max (Aka--Dr. New Amsterdam) struggles with the realities of being a single father; Kapoor takes a big step to help out his family. (Being a single father??? Making friends??? Helping out your family??? Ohhh New Amsterdam--you've become much too much!!!)
Emergence (ABC): Jo makes a high stakes deal to take down Helen and keep Piper safe; Helen attempts to replicate Piper's powers for herself; Benny struggles to earn back Jo's trust before it is too late. (The episode is part 1 of what's gonna be the show's season and most likely series finale) (Oh the episode is titled "Killshot Part 1") (Also try saying "replicate Piper's powers" 5 times fast! Its hard!)
Frontline (PBS): Taliban Country---A report from Afghanistan includes extensive access to the Islamic State group and its top peace negotiator. (While i appreciate that there is a peace negotiator, when did The Taliban become a group that actually wants peace??? Was this done in an attempt to separate themselves from Isis???) ("No we're not terrorists over here!!! Not unlike those guys over there--now those guys...oy, forget about it!!!")
Project Blue Book (History): Returning to the air for a 2nd season is this hour long dramatization of extraterrestrial encounters at Roswell (i think?) This show has "Hyrek and Quinn follow General Harding to Roswell (see?) where an anonymous individual has threatened to expose evidence to the world of an extraterrestrial crash landing six years ago" (Six years ago???) Mr. Neal McDonough continues his reign as basic cable's go to guy by being a cast member here which is impressive since he literally just finished a role in the season of Van Helsing that just ended last month!
Running Wild with Bear Grylls (Nat Geo): This week Zachary Quinto join Bear in the Panama Jungle (PANAMA--Bum-bum-Bum-bum...PANAMA--whoa-oh-oh-ohhh...PANAMA!!!!)
Guardians of the Glades (Discovery): Dusty and the team capture a giant calf eating snake.
THAT'S ALL I GOT FOR TONIGHT. HAVE A GREAT TUESDAY YOU GUYS!!!
