What's On Tonight & Pop Culture: Totally Tunes: The music that moved you in the 2010s

Hello and pardon the intrusion to the Totally Tunes thread. I'm subbing this week and given this is the final Totally Tunes of the year (and best of threads for TV and movies are arriving in a few hours), I wanted to give Totally Tunes a similar vibe but not replicate it exactly. Music is diverse and plentiful, and there's a wealth of music from decades before my existence that I'm finally discovering.

Here, I want to hear about what you listened to in the past decade that has stuck with you, whether an album or single song. It doesn't have to be from the 2010s. Plenty of my music picks would be from the '60s and '70s, some of which I only recently discovered; most of it was a rediscovery.

Most of the 2010s were me post-college. Out on my own, forming more adult relationships. Some work, some falter. I also dived deeper into disco in the latter half of the decade, a genre I've grown to love. Dance music and Adele really helped me write a book.

I don't think my musical tastes have changed too much in the past 10 years, but they have been more cemented in my likes and dislikes. Lady Gaga, Daft Punk, and Adele are still some of my favorites and nu-disco is one of my preferred modern genres. I rarely listen to rock and plenty of top 40 stuff comes and goes without ever hitting my radar. I frequently return to rap music and have learned a much deeper appreciation for female rappers.
