Outgoing EU Prez Juncker is under the (mistaken) impression that Trump will drop tariffs on the EU. I thought he'd met Trump. [CNBC]
The military parade in Red Square in Moscow on May Day has a long history that stretches back to the Haymarket Riots in Chicago. May Day is celebrated around the world (but most certainly not in the US). The Russian version has more to do with Soviet intimidation than workers rights. The marching soldiers, tanks, missiles, etc. are a reminder that if Russia chooses to fight the US or anyone else they can inflict massive damage. Of course Trump wants to go. This is not Nixon Goes to China. This is Trump licking his boss' boots. [Reuters]

So say good bye to the West Bank. Maybe the Gaza Strip. Gantz has a few days left to form a government but with the far right in Netanyahu's pocket that ain't gonna happen. [Reuters]
