We'll get to the big story below the fold but there's a story I'm afraid will not get the play it deserves. Mark Zuckerberg has been meeting with Donald Trump and these meetings are not on the public schedule. We won't find out until it's a done deal. [NBC}

The big story was the continuing elimination of Trump's defense against Impeachment. Only sexual assault concealer Jim Jordan kept up his manic chipmunk act in the face of strong testimony from today's witnesses.

Fiona Hill finally brought Russian motives to the fore and she put up with no bullshit, stating from the outset that it was Russian propaganda and nothing more and certain members of the Committee were complicit. [Politico]

David Holmes didn't put up with bullshit either, smiling when he was repeatedly interrupted and then calmy telling them how they were wrong. Republican Reps (and our ancient President) must be the only people pretending that they've never overheard a conversation. Telephones! How do they work? [The Hill]

Someone in the White House knows this is headed for the Senate: Senators Romney and Collins have been summoned to kiss Trump's ring. It probably won't work. [NBC]

The Senate passed the continuing resolution which will now be sent to Trump who must sign it tomorrow to avoid a government shutdown. Someone better tell him there's money in it for him. ETA: He signed it. [NBC] [NPR]

YOU'RE THE EMOLUMENTS CLAUSE! In just 5 months the Secret Service spent a quarter of a million dollars at Trump properties. [Politico]

Former Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh has plead guilty over that bogus book deal and wire fraud and some other stuff. But really it's the book deal that's funny. [Baltimore Sun]
