What's On Tonight (Wednesday): Everyone is still a suspect in Horseshoe Bay

Nancy Drew (via Tumblr)
Bonjour! Tonight we spotlight the amateur sleuth Nancy Drew. The freshman show is a departure from a lot of the source material with Nancy being full independent and a bit of a loner, not even friends with George and distant from her lawyer father. And now she and her co-workers are murder suspects. TBH, I'm more interested what this would be like in season two or three as the angsty emo-ness of the characters are sometimes a bit much. Elsewhere, with the sportsbats going on, some programs are sitting tonight out, including Comedy Central's lineup and MoFam plus there are a handful of specials, too. However, BET is rolling its new duo of Tyler Perry dramas — a White House soap and a girlfriends soap — Hulu begins season two of Castle Rock, and PBS starts a new miniseries about Earth from space. So swing and a miss, here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, October 23!

💻 STREAMING

Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (Netflix, 3 a.m.): SERIES PREMIERE. David Chang travels to various cities and teams up with a celebrity to explore. The four guests are Chrissy Teigen (Marrakesh), Seth Rogen (Vancouver), Lena Waithe (Los Angeles), and Kate McKinnon (Phnom Penh).

Castle Rock (Hulu, 3 a.m.): PREMIERE. The seasonal anthology is back and with a new cast! This season we have Lizzy Caplan as Annie Wilkes plus Tim Robbins, Elsie Fisher, and Barkhad Abdi. The synopses aren't the most helpful in this first batch of three episodes: "A nurse gets waylaid in Castle Rock." "The Merrills search for answers." "Annie tastes her own medicine."

Dancing with the Birds (Netflix, 3 a.m.): SPECIAL. Stephen Fry narrates this documentary about birds.

Rhythm + Flow (Netflix, 3 a.m.): FINALE. Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I. pick the winner.

Wu-Tang: An American Saga (Hulu, 3 a.m.): FINALE. A mysterious tape makes the rounds of NYC. As people try to figure out who this group is Bobby and Dennis try to figure out how to handle Attila.
