Welcome To The TerrorDome---Here is What's On Tonight October 29th 2019
8:00
NCIS (CBS): CBS is in rerun mode tonight quite possibly due to having to go up against Game 6--so here is a rerun of an episode from February where "When a malnourished 9 year old girl is found hiding in a storage unit, the team soon suspects that she is the daughter of a missing Navy recruit"
The Voice (NBC): Knockouts Night Part 2---Taylor Swift is back once again as a mentor coach. (Mental Coach---the reboot of "Coach" that no one asked for!)
World Series (FOX): Game 6 Baby!
The Conners (ABC): Not in reruns tonight is ABC! In fact the sitcoms tonight all feature Halloween based plotlines, so they pretty much all had to run tonight! "Halloween brings nothing but horror for Jackie after she uncovers a shocking secret when trying to reopen The Lunch Box; Mary gets upset when a woman assumes that she is adopted; Darlene continues to deal with her love life" (Mary is DJ's daughter right??? Also props to the writers for remembering the existence of The Lunch Box!)
The Flesh (The CW): Barry's efforts to prepare Cisco for crisis are derailed when Cisco schemes to save Barry's life instead; Ramsey Rosso uses his deadly new abilities to save his own life, but he ends up sacrificing his own humanity in the process. (I see...Hastag Not All Metas???)
Finding Your Roots (PBS): Tonight's rerun from 2017 features Fred Armisen, Christopher Walken, and Carly Simon all tracing their ancestry. ("I bet you think this ancestry is all about you" "actually it is!")
8:30
Bless This Mess (ABC): Mike celebrates Halloween by scaring the wits out of Rio all night when Rio turns the tables on Mike and tries to scare him into ending "Scare Night"; Mike gets bitten by a bat and the night soon escalates from there. (So he gets bitten by a bat, AND keeps scaring Rio all night? Mike's got a pretty busy Halloween night)
9:00
FBI (CBS): A rerun from last March finds "Maggie and Dana struggling to find justice for victims murdered by a serial killer but the mayor soon limits the investigation in order to cut costs" (Cut Costs??? I'm not really sure about how the government works, but i'm pretty sure the mayor of a city doesn't have any say in how the FBI--a national organization spends their appointed funds right?)
This Is Us (NBC): Kate and Toby try to make time for their marriage; Jack attempts to prove himself to Rebecca's father; and Randall struggles to find his place with the other councilmen. (Hmm time to mix and match these plotlines up again??? "Kate and Toby struggle to find their place with the other councilmen; Randall and Rebecca's father try to make time for their marriage; and Jack attempts to prove himself to no one"
Mixed-Ish (ABC): The popular girls at school ask Rainbow to join their group Halloween costume as Tootie from "Facts of Life"; Rainbow thinks she has an opportunity to fit in but Darlene thinks differently; Alicia doesn't want the kids to go trick or treating for some reason. (Halloween-Ish!!!)
Arrow (The CW): Reunited with his sister, Oliver and Thea find themselves searching thru a familiar maze of catacombs; John and Lyla partner on a mission. (Reunited and it feels soo good; fighting bad guys like you knew you should)
Retro Report on PBS (PBS): How sex ed programs are informed by past failures; Crime Myths; Ryan White's legacy; Napster; TV Bullying (This is apparently the season finale of Retro Report on PBS--who knows if it will return, tho i mean why wouldn't it right?)
The Purge (USA): The residual effects of The Purge affect the lives of Ryan, Marcus, and Esme. (Once again i continue to think that this is the show dealing with what having Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in the Purge universe would be like)
Curse of Oak Island (History): Once again the show is still doing these two hour "Best Of/Top 25 Moments of the past 6 seasons" specials---eventually new episodes will come back for season 7 yes?
Bering Sea Gold (Discovery): Capt Vernon begins the final leg of his epic journey transporting the Gold Ship Wild Ranger to Nome, Emily is forced to face the fierce ripping currents and an exhausted diver. (How much sea gold could there be really anyways right?)(there's a lot Matthew, a lot!) (oh ok)
Life Below Zero (Nat Geo): More Alaskans facing brutal weather conditions doing what they can to survive the frigid climate.
9:30
Black-Ish (ABC): Halloween is coning up but The Johnson family doesn't see eye to eye on what the family costume should be this year; but they do all agree that Jack's new friend Raymond has got to go; Junior wants Devante's first trick or treating experience to be perfect. (The episode is titled "Everybody Hates Raymond" which awwww)
Green Acres (MeTV):Lisa evaluates an anti hunting position after seeing a deer get injured on the farm. (That Lisa is such a dear while helping a deer--putting herself into potential trouble with the citizenry...Oh Dear!)
10:00
NCIS New Orleans (CBS): Rounding out the trio of CBS reruns tonight is this episode from February that finds "Conspiracy journalist Oliver Crane accused of murder after his latest source turns up dead; the team must help him clear his name for some reason; Meanwhile Hannah's ex partner Liam shows up with some news of his own" (If i remember right Liam is played by the same actor who plays Chuck on Supernatural which means that it ain't good news he'd bringing)
New Amersterdam (NBC): When women who are on a retreat end up in the ER, Dr. New Amsterdam gets some troubling information that could put a patient in jeopardy; Sharpe and Kapoor work together to mend fences between 2 feuding sisters. (Ohhh You New Amsterdam--You've just become much too much!)
Emergence (ABC): Jo is determined to prove Kindred was behind the attack on Benny and April; Piper experiences intense confusing visions. (Intense Confusing Visions??? Emergence Can Help! Warning Side Effects May Include--Confusing Plotlines, Being asked to remember things about previous episodes you barely recall; being asked to care for paper thin characters; Call your local physician to ask if Emergence Is Right For You)
Mayans M.C. (FX): Dramatic revelations carve out different paths to vengeance. (Tonight's episode runs until 11:16)
Frontline (PBS): Survivors and first responders provide insight into the 2018 Camp Fires in Paradise CA, the most destructive wild fires in U.S. history. (Wildfires still rage in California too--are these the same wildfires??? have they been raging for a full year now???)
Treadstone (USA): "The Berlin Proposal" Bentley searches for answers; Edwards meets an asset; Doug gets a visitor; and Soyan gets a new mission. (nods) (These are things happening to people)
Greenleaf (OWN): Bishop moves to prevent Judee Whitmore's proposed government structure; Jackob and Keriss attempt to mend their wounds; a secret about Phil threatens his relationship with Charity; Grace realizes that what is right has never been less dear. (I don't know what any of this refers to, but Greenleaf right??? What's up with that???)
Most Terrifying Places (Travel): The Blue Lady haunts a California restaurant overlooking the ocean; Halloween auction in a 19th century Philly prison; and a visit to a NY Historical Village.
Gold Rush-White Water (Discovery): The Dakota boys take on a crack mining operation hoping to strike a pile of bedrock that will change their lives forever, later the crew decides whether its worth the while to continue mining next season. (Well how are the ratings for this spin-off show holding up??? You determine that, you determine whether its worth the effort to continue mining next season)
Life Below Zero (Nat Geo): Second of two episodes in a row about this Alaskan set wilderness survival show.
Hogan's Heroes (MeTV): Season Six of this venerable sitcom kicks off tonight's pair or reruns! Season Six!!!
Tosh.0 (Comedy Central): Tosh meets up with "Super Bitch"--a synopsis I'm so glad i get to cover here! (Usually there's no synopsis listed for the new episodes, but here we get a synopsis)
10:30
The Misery Index (TBS): "Am embarrassing way to ruin a friend's wedding; a dolphin pooping incident; and a cell phone rescue scenario in a toilet" make up the various things going on in tonight's installment of this game show featuring the Impractical Jokers and Jameela Jamil for some reason. (Also worth noting is that for once a brand new episode is debuing on TBS instead of Tru TV which had been debuing the previous new episodes before they would pop up on TBS later on in the week)
THAT'S IT FOR TONIGHT'S LISTINGS---MAKE SURE YOU TIP YOUR WAITSTAFF ON YOUR WAY HOME????
