Sportsball, October 21st

I'm still on the injured list this week (I might go home today, again) and I'll use that as my excuse for the lack of women this week. So you'll have to settle for a bunch of sports involving balls including what seems to be an inevitable injustice. And puppies! We have lots of puppies at play!

Somebody better warn the Astros to not be so cocky. They may have the best odds of winning the World Series in a long time but the Nationals have been counted out since the regular season and just tore through the playoffs. Beating the Brewers was expected but disposing of the Dodgers and Cards like they were the Cubs or something? Get to work Houston. [ESPN]

Barring upsets, it's likely that South Africa will face world number one New Zealand in the final of the Rugby World Cup in Japan. They have to get past a scrappy Wales team first. This being South Africa, the story is complicated. [Quartz Africa]

There isn't too much movement in this weeks polls with one glaring exception: the Badgers dropped from six to thirteen after a loss to Illinois. [ESPN]

There's plenty of talk about different teams picking up Antonio Brown and yet Colin Kaepernick is still considered toxic. So let's get this straight NFL: Raping women is A-OK! Taking a knee during the National Anthem is unforgivable. [CBS]
