What's On Tonight (Tuesday): A Rerun Of NCIS New Orleans Pulls A Rashomon And Frontline Season Premieres On PBS

I'm Rashomon!!!!! No I'm Rashomon!!!! No you're both wrong I'm Rashomon!!!! Nicolas Cage Was Rashoman in the movie Snake Eyes!!!

This is What's On September 10th, 2019

8:00

NCIS (CBS): This rerun from May finds the team investigating the murder of a Marine sergeant who had been hailed as a war hero for courageous actions overseas, but it turns out someone had cause to be very angry with him. Bum bum bummm

America's Got Talent (NBC): Semifinals Night 2!

The Resident (FOX): This rerun episode finds a lottery winner checking into Chastain Memorial and greedy Bruce Greenwood immediately sees dollar signs in his eyes for his hospital.

Bachelor In Paradise (ABC): Connor decides to leave when Whitney seems to not be coming, Bri and Sydney vie for Matt's heart, and Luke must decide between 4 different women. (Wait how many bachelors are on this thing???)

Pandora (The CW): Jax, Xander, and Raylen must band together to survive while stranded on an alien world, but divided loyalties threaten to destroy them from within. (Every time i see the name Raylen in these plot synopsis i immediately think of Timothy Olyphant in a cowboy hat and then i wonder what "Justified" would've been like if set on another planet. Probably would've been the same show more or less.)

There's a rerun of Finding Your Roots on PBS

9:00

FBI (CBS): This rerun ep from May finds an agent killed in the line of duty and our protagonist discovers that he had been living a double life. (oh my!)

Mysteries Decoded (The CW): Area 51 is explored.

American Experience (PBS): The Hatfield McCoy Feud gets another look at in this new hour, specifically focusing in on the years 1863-1891.

30 For 30 (ESPN): "Rodman For Better Or Worse"  Looks at the flamboyant basketball player both during his prime in the 90's and his years post retirement where he took an official visit to North Korea to try and help thaw relations with Kim Jong Un. (There's probably some thesis paper to write about how the exportation of American culture served to help bring about world peace--if only world peace would actually get achieved already!)

Chopped (FOOD): "Ooey-Gooey Melted Cheese" as the contestants have to make a bunch of meals made entirely out of melted cheese including a round dealing with fondue.

Expeditions Unknown (Travel): The Mysteries of the Wooly Mammoth are explored here as the host tries to track down the DNA of the extinct creature and what it would take to bring the creature back to life ala Jurassic Park.

Deadliest Catch (Discovery): A crushing injury requires a Coast Guard rescue.

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): The episode tonight is titled "I'm Always Chasing Gomers" which is a title i love! The synopsis is "Carter decides he must get away from Gomer to avoid having a nervous breakdown" which reminds me a lot of a Simpsons episode for some reason.

This is of course followed at 9:30 by Green Acres with "A still single Eb comes back to Hooterville after his honeymoon"

10:00

NCIS New Orleans (CBS): This rerun from late April finds them investigating a deadly bombing set off in a naval museum unveiling where a thousand potential eyewitnesses were in attendance. Its totally Rashomon done New Orleans style baby! (We Here In N'Orleans Do Rashomon A Bit Differently Than You All Might Do It Back Home!)

Bring The Funny (NBC): One winner is determined to have brought the funny in this season finale of this would be Last Comic Standing.

The Conners (ABC): For some reason ABC is rerunning the last two episodes from last season back to back in the 10 o'clock hour tonight "Ben offers Mark free piano lessons, Jackie throws Becky a baby shower" in the first one. In the second episode "Darlene grapples with a life changing offer from Ben; Jackie hits the bottle...again, and Dan has some news that concerns the family" (I watched this when it aired and i genuinely don't remember what Dan's news was!)

Frontline (PBS): This venerable PBS program has its season premiere tonight with a look at Flint's Deadly Water.

Adam Ruins Everything (Tru TV): Adam reveals the racism behind the origins of rock and roll, explores the monolithic practices of Live Nation, and defends musicians who "sell out" in order to make a living in digital landscapes. (Brock--"Its a Living!" Brock)

Mayans (FX): "As EX and Angel reconnect, complications arise for the M.C. and Gatindo" This ep only runs til 11:05! ONLY!

Code of the Wild (Discovery): Tracking down the lost treasure of mobster Dutch Schultz.

HAVE A GOOD TUESDAY EVERYBODY!
