What's On Tonight (Thursday): Mr. In-Between Starts Up Season 2 On FX

Another night, Another round-up of seriously not much on outside of yet another Democratic Debate (oh boy!) This Is What's On Thursday September 12th 2019

8:00

Young Sheldon (CBS): We got two episodes being rerun back to back tonight both from January. In the first one--Sheldon has to stay overnight in a hospital and is a less than ideal patient for all to deal with. (You don't say!!!) And in the second one which is actually pretty funny Sheldon tries to build a nuclear reactor in the backyard. (Again very Leave it to Beaver-esque)

Superstore (NBC): Returning to the lineup tonight is this enjoyable sitcom with again back to back reruns of what was the last two episodes of this past season.

Democratic Candidate Debate (ABC): Somehow they managed to corral the candidates left who are still running onto one stage for one night as opposed to splitting them up into two. I wonder who gets eliminated at the end of this one! ("Find out tomorrow on the Democratic Candidate Debate Results Show!")

The Outpost (The CW): Talon and Zed unlock a power that Talon distrusts. The Mistress plots a unlikely path to victory; a deadly assassin in on the loose in the outpost; Nava faces her old master with startling consequences; Garrett takes on a new objective. (This all sounds like a lot quite honestly)

The Perfect Catch (Hallmark): Your Hallmark Channel Movie of the Night is this one where a woman agrees to help her mother's financially struggling diner ends up falling in love with someone else who works there--i wanna say a short order cook? (Wasn't this basically what happened in Frankie and Johnnie???)

9:00

The Good Place (NBC): Again rejoining the regular weekly lineup is this sitcom that is rerunning the two episodes that comprised the end of their last season on the air setting the stage for the next season returning in two weeks. (Not Soon Enough!!!!)

Two Sentence Horror Stories (The CW): A monster adults can't see haunts the vulnerable children of a housing project. (Candyman???)

Ax Men (History): Season Finale of this show finds the Ax Men doing Ax Men like things! (sorry i don't have a synopsis written down for some reason)

Naked and Afraid (Discovery): An Alaskan homesteader is dropped off in 130 degree heat of the jungles where she is attacked by a deadly spider and must find a way to survive the spider bite. (Well i mean couldn't the cameraman do something to help???)

Gomer Pyle (MeTV): When a buddy breaks his leg, Gomer and Sgt. Carter must help get that buddy's pregnant wife to the hospital after she goes into labor.  (SHAZAM!!!!!)

This is of course followed by Green Acres at 9:30 with "A boy claiming to be from another planet arrives at the Douglas farm"(Shazam???)

10:00

SVU (NBC): The detectives must investigate a rape and then a murder amidst a rap feud in yet another rerun episode of a show starting its new season two weeks from tonight.

Mr. In-Between (FX): This very, very, very dry semi comedy about a professional killer (i think) returns tonight for an unlikely second season (Its i believe an import from New Zealand i wanna say???) The synopsis for tonight is "Ray does not tap but he gives good advice; Sometimes the scenic route has to be taken."  I watched the first season and remember liking the main guy quite a bit, but i swear i remember next to nothing about what actually happens on the show...i remember it being very dry and laconic tho which i guess makes it differ from Barry i guess (I've yet to actually see Barry--again i don't currently have access to HBO to do so)

Impractical Jokers (TRU TV): Q, Sal, Joe, and Murr play a game of tag at a coffee shop, then they deliver massages at a grocery store. (that sounds like something they would do) The big loser must partake in the show's first ever non-punishment punishment. (???) (HOCKEY MIKE ITS NEW TOJNIGHT!!!!)

Knife or Death (History): This show tonight for some reason is two hours long. I don't know why either!

Beat Bobby Flay (Food): The Queen of Toast Carrie Baird and South Side Restaurant Chef Lamar Moore team up to well you know.

Hogan's Heroes (MeTV): Lastly but not leastly this show has an episode that features its main character learning about The Manhattan Project and immediately tries to form a scheme around it because that's what he does!

I WROTE THIS UP ON THE BACK OF AN ENVELOPE TONIGHT!!! I DON"T KNOW WHY I FELT LIKE I HAD TO TELL YOU THIS!!!! HAVE A GOOD THURSDAY!!!
