Sportsball, September 16th



There's a mess of good news and bad news and other news in Sportsball today and most of the sports are even played with balls. Good thing we brought along the puppies to clear things up.






Spain won its second FIBA World Cup basketball championship by defeating Argentina 95-75 in Beijing yesterday. [CNN]




I'm no fan of Notre Dame but the polls are out and next week #7 Notre Dame will make or break its season with a game at #3 Georgia. Georgia has a strong schedule and could come back from a loss. Notre Dame can't afford to lose. Either way it will be a good game. [ESPN]




Charlie Culberson suffered a horrific injury when he was hit in the face with a 90mph fastball while attempting to bunt against the Nats. He is said to be "aware". [MLB News]
