Cancellation League Update

This week's excitement came when I watched all the trailers for the new fall series. With trailers, I grade on a unique scale.



ABC, for example, has four new series. Thus, the best of the bunch would only be worth 10 points. The worst would be worth 40 points. Here's how ABC broke down: Stumptown scored 10 points (although I wasn't thrilled with so much time being devoted to "hey, isn't 'Sweet Caroline' a funny song?"), mixed-ish (which is currently a kitty show) scored 20 points, Emergence scored 30 points and Kids Say the Darndest Things scored 40 points.

CBS had the luck of having the second-best trailer I've seen this fall. Yes, Bob Hearts Abishola surprisingly picked up only 10 points. Following it are All Rise (20 points), Carol's Second Act (30 points), The Unicorn (40 points) and Evil (50 points).

The CW had the single best trailer of the fall with current kitty show Batwoman (+10). Picking up 20 points was Nancy Drew.

FOX's points are somewhat controversial. I couldn't find/didn't look beyond YouTube for a full trailer for Bless the Harts. The low-scorer was Prodigal Son (+10), followed by Harts (+20) and Almost Family (+30).

Finally, NBC went like this: Sunnyside (+10), Bluff City Law (+20) and Perfect Harmony (+30).
