Valerie Harper - who from her very first appearance, regularly stole the show on Mary Tyler Moore and was later rewarded with her own spinoff - has died at eighty, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
It was almost seven years ago that she was given three months to live from leptomeningeal carcinomatosis.
In 2017, she and Ed Asner made a surprise appearance at the Sedona International Film Festival, where their MTM co-star Cloris Leachman was receiving a lifetime achievement award.
