D'oh! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, September 27!

Our Top Pick tonight is American Hostage (MGM+, 9 p.m.). The first season of this new seasonal anthology series is about the kidnapping of Richard Hall (Kristoffer Polaha) by Tony Kiritsis (Giovanni Ribisi) in 1977 where he frequently talked to newsman Fred Heckman (Jon Hamm) on the air. The series is an adaptation of a podcast of the same name, which also starred Hamm. It's a good story to adapt, but I'm not sure about 8 episodes.

Elsewhere, corrupt law enforcement is attacking the press in Oklahoma, the MTV Video Music Awards are still a thing, Two Cities must give only one guy a rose, Iran is the problem rather than Saddam, the Guys are still Basic, the President faces a murderer, and Animal Control patrols again.
