Jeopardy!

DD1 - $800 - INTERNATIONAL BORDERS - The Lateran Treaty of 1929 set the border between these 2 states (On the first clue, Adam lost $1,000.)

Double Jeopardy!
AMERICAN HISTORICAL FATHERS // 1-SYLLABE ENTERTAINMENT // THE MILKY WAY // NATIONAL HOLIDAYS // ESSAYS // FROM "A" TO "T"
DD2 - $2,000 - ESSAYS - His collection "The Purple Decades" includes the essay "The Me Decade & the Third Great Awakening" (With a lead of $8K, Adam dropped $2,000 down to $10,200.)
DD3 - $1,600 - NATIONAL HOLIDAYS - March 17 is St. Patrick's Day in Ireland; across the channel in Scotland, November 30 is this (Adam lost $1,000 down to $11,200.)
Adam missed all three DDs, but he didn't lose much on them and his opponents never got rolling, so Adam still had an easy time of it into FJ at $20,000 vs. $5,000 for Carolyn and $400 for Matt.
Final Jeopardy!
TV PERSONALITIES - Perhaps destined for success, she has 1st & last names that are associated with the Hindu goddess of prosperity & good fortune
Only Adam was incorrect on FJ, dropping $5,000 to win with $15,000 for a four-day total of $72,601.
Final scores: Adam $15,000, Matt $800, Carolyn $5,000.
Judging the writers: Round one was a good example of what an ideal Jeopardy! board should look like. No shilling categories, no frivolous pop culture, no silly gimmicks. Just solid material that meets the show's traditional standards. More of this, please.
Correct Qs: DD1 - What are Italy and the Vatican? DD2 - Who was Wolfe? DD3 - What is St. Andrew's Day? FJ - Who is Padma Lakshmi?
