Jeopardy!
RELIGIOUS MATTERS // HOLE FOODS // I PLAYED A REAL PERSON // GREAT LEGS // VWLLSS HWN WRDS // CHARLES CURTIS: THE MAN, THE LEGEND
DD1 - $600 - GREAT LEGS - In 2025, this international sports star nicknamed "Mr. Spice" said he never skipped a leg day as a pro (Adam doubled to $7,200.)
Scores at first break: Adam $8,200, Jacob -$200, Deidre $3,200.
Scores entering DJ: Adam $11,200, Jacob $600, Deidre $4,200.
Double Jeopardy!
SCIENCE & NATURE // ADJECTIVAL ARTISTS // IN THE DICTIONARY // DISTINGUISHED MEXICANS // METRO BOOMING // DON'T TRUST YOU
DD2 - $1,200 - SCIENCE & NATURE - They're the 2 chemical elements whose symbols begin with "K" (Jacob moved to a closer third by adding $2,000 up to $3,400.)
DD3 - $1,600 - IN THE DICTIONARY - The speech of the common people, it was also the name given to a Latin version of the Bible (Adam improved his leading score by $5,000 up to $18,600.)
Adam expanded his lead on DD3, after which both opponents came on well but could not quite break Adam's FJ runaway at $25,000 vs. $11,800 for Jacob and $9,800 for Deidre.
Final Jeopardy!
HOLIDAYS & OBSERVANCES - July 6, 2025 was designated a "Day of Compassion" & the start of a "Year of Compassion" in honor of his 90th birthday
Only Jacob was correct on FJ. Adam dropped $99 to win with $24,901 for a six-day total of $124,502.
Final scores: Adam $24,901, Jacob $19,601, Deidre $5,800.
Wagering strategy: Adam was unsure of the category on DD1 but went all-in anyway. He eventually wound up with a narrow runaway, so betting it all there might have been key to securing the victory.
Clue selection strategy: Jacob twice opened categories with top-row selections while DDs were still on the board. Given how FJ played out, had he kept DD3 away from Adam, it might have made the difference between winning and losing for Jacob.
Correct Qs: DD1 - Who is Beckham? DD2 - What are potassium and krypton? DD3 - What is Vulgate? FJ - Who is the Dalai Lama?
