Today's Top Pick is the series premiere of the Showtime series Amadeus.  The series is an adaptation of the original play, which was also adapted for the 1984 film.  The play and film were around three hours long.  The new series is five episodes.  Not sure how that will work, but I'm a huge fan of the film, so I'm willing to chance it.  If nothing else, it has Paul Bettany as Salieri.  That's worth something.

If the something you're looking for is something more in keeping with Mother's Day, let me point you to Remarkably Bright Creatures on Netflix.  Starring Sally Field, Bill Pullman's young clone, and Chief Miles O'Brien, the film is an adaptation of a popular book about a woman's unlikely relationship with an octopus, who appears to be the film's narrator.  Don't worry about this turning into a Shape of Water situation.  RBC appears to be going for wholesomeness over fish fucking.  

Final premieres note: Lauren Holly stars in the Roku original comedy, Broad Trip.  She still looks great.  Steve Guttenberg is also in the film.  He is unrecognizable.  It also stars Sophia Bush.  I don't know her.  I assume she looks like Sophia Bush.
