beware of Harlan Crow

Once more and this time with feeling! Santiago Campos is a name to watch out for! But you're not likely to see his name on CBS News. Campos, who is graduating from DC's international school, won a scholarship at the 47th annual news and documentary Emmy Awards. He used his speech to tear apart CBS and particularly CBS News. Campos, 18, had to look up Mike Wallace to know who his scholarship was named for. He didn't have to look up Bari Weiss. He ripped her to shreds and dared her to come see him and take the CBS sponsored scholarship back. I doubt Bari Weiss is dim enough to do that because the other networks and news outlets would be clamoring to sponsor Campos entire college career and make CBS look even more craven. Campos plans to use the scholarship when he enrolls at Georgetown University this fall. He has been offered an internship at a "major national newspaper" (the Guardian by any chance? Does the Guardian do blind items?) which he has turned down. What are Campos' plans for the summer? He's going to be a lifeguard. I wholeheartedly agree. [Guardian]
I wonder if this might have played out differently if the scholarship had been named for Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite or even Dan Rather.
