Jeopardy!

FAREWELL, WORLD FACTBOOK // IN UNIFORM // APPLIANCES // ERRING // ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION // THE NBA FINALS

DD1 - $1,000 - ERRING - Oh boy, where to start? This ancient Egyptian placed the Earth at the center of the universe & said astrology was a legitimate science (Chris doubled to $10,000.)

Scores at first break: Chris $4,200, Ariel $3,200, Ken $1,600.

Scores entering DJ: Chris $11,800, Ariel $3,600, Ken $1,600.

Double Jeopardy!

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE WEATHER // "NOT"ABLE QUOTATIONS // ALLITERATURE // JOBS // BAND IN BOSTON // WORDS FROM NATIVE AMERICANS

DD2 - $1,200 - ALLITERATURE - Regarding this title location, Anne Shirley remarks, "Just as soon as I saw it I felt it was home" (With a big lead, Chris added $2,200 up to $20,000.)

DD3 - $800 - JOBS - You don't need pilot training for this job, but you need to pass the ATSA, an exam administered by the FAA (Chris improved by $1,600 to $23,200.)

Very lopsided affair in which Chris was correct on all three DDs and sailed into FJ at $34,000 vs. $7,200 for Ariel and $5,200 for Ken.

Final Jeopardy!

LATIN PHRASES - An 1863 congressional act relating to this was decried in the press as a “bill to appoint a dictator”

Everyone was correct on FJ. Chris added $16,000 to win with $50,000 for a seven-day total of $174,201.

Final scores: Chris $50,000, Ariel $10,401, Ken $10,200.

Clue selection strategy: Chris chose twice from the same category in which he had found DD2, then when he moved elsewhere he immediately picked DD3.

Correct Qs: DD1 - Who was Ptolemy? DD2 - What is Green Gables? DD3 - What is air traffic controller? FJ - What is habeas corpus?
