Not fooling. It is perfect that the unwritten 13th step lines up with April Fool's. If you have followed the twelve steps then you have destroyed your ego, you have left everyone that you knew behind or pissed them off even more, and with the last step you've started to piss off strangers. There are no other people in your life but the other damaged people in meetings. The twelve steps have carved a huge hole in your life and left you alone. So you hook up with someone else from the program. They're desperate too. And then guess what happens.
