I'm resisting shining the spotlight on the Olympics until next week, so tonight's Top Pick is the second season premiere of The Artful Dodger, dropping on Disney+ and Hulu. It's something, isn't it? Thomas Brodie-Sangster turns 36 this year, yet I still think I could probably carry him away in a knapsack.
STREAMING
The Artful Dodger, 3:01 a.m., Disney+ and Hulu. Second season premiere. "The Artful Dodger (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) returns, and he's in deep trouble. He's got an appointment with the noose, he's being hunted by new lawman, Inspector Boxer (Luke Bracey), and if he sees the woman he loves, Lady Belle (Maia Mitchell), he'll be hanged. Meanwhile, Belle is determined to forge her future in medicine, driven by ambition and a love already hanging in the balance. With Boxer competing with Jack for Belle's affection, the crafty Fagin (David Thewlis) drags him into their most dangerous heist yet, and a killer is on the loose."
Katt Williams: The Last Report, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. Special presentation. "Comedy icon Katt Williams delivers his famously bold takes on conspiracies, celebrities and the world at large in this electrifying stand-up special."
Father Brown, 3:01 a.m., Britbox. "The Hole in My Heart." "Father Brown investigates when rock 'n' roll sensations The Hart Brothers (Ryan Quarmby and Ben Rose) return home to Kembleford, bringing murder with them."
Tell Me Lies, 12:01 a.m., Hulu. "As I Climb Onto Your Back, I Will Promise Not to Sting." "Relationships are tested at Bree's photography exhibition. Lucy devises a plan to finally put rumors to rest." Season finale next week.
