What's On Tonight (Friday): A Rare Monsterquest Sighting...

It's the day after New Year's and there just isn't much happening today.  Top Pick goes to the fifth season premiere of History Channel's on again/off again supernatural series, Monsterquest.  This series premiered in 2007.  By the end of the first season, they were already running out of new monsters to talk about.  I'm assuming the new season will have new evidence, testimonials and pics/videos.  Regardless, nothing will firm up your belief more that none of this shit is real than watching this series.

Elsewhere the only premiere of note is the season premiere of RuPaul's Drag Race on MTV.  Drag Race premiered two years after Monsterquest, but is on season eighteen.  I assume this is due to it being easier to round up a new season of Drag Race contestants than elusive imaginary creatures.  This makes sense as I can't think of a greater antithesis to the privacy-obsessed monsters of the world than limelight seeking drag queens.
