Jeopardy! recap for Fri., Jan. 2

 Here are today's Second Chance contestants:

- Ryan Sharpe, a recent graduate from Oakville, Ontario, earned the lead with 33,440 in game one;

- Abigail Arnold, an academic administrator from Waltham, Massachusetts, carries over 23,600 from yesterday; and

- Dondi DeMarco, an operations executive from New York City, finished the first game at 0.

Ryan took control with a double-up on DD2 and finished strongly to put it away in the two-game scores, entering FJ at 24,800 vs. 12,600 for Abigail and 6,700 for Dondi.

BRITISH ROYAL TITLES - This title named for a county of coastal England had lapsed by 1843 but was revived in 2018 when Elizabeth gave it to a family member


Only Ryan was correct on FJ. He added 42 to finish with a two-day total of 58,282, good to win $35,000 in real money and advance to Champions Wildcard. Abigail ended the two days at 24,561 while Dondi retained one point, and they both won $15,000.
