What's On Tonight (Saturday): Weekend update

The Weekend: Primetime

You're a "Diesel!" Here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, November 15!

Our Top Pick tonight is The Weekend: Primetime (MS NOW, 6 p.m.), which marks the first primetime show under the rebranded MS NOW, formerly MSNBC. Yes, the network needed a rebrand given the future split from Comcast, but it should've happened 20 years ago when Microsoft divested. My 2 cents aside, I haven't voluntarily watched cable news (sans documentaries and CNN original shows) in 7 years so [*shrugs*]. Yet some people really care about cable news. Give me old school Headline News.

Elsewhere, Glen Powell is Live from New York, Kelsea Ballerini goes to the Limits, Tony Shalhoub finally finishes Breaking Bread, Love & Marriage still happens in Huntsville, and Lifetime seeks Friends and Lovers.

(All times are Eastern. All listings are new unless otherwise stated. For more listings, visit The Futon Critic or Gracenote.)

🕗 PRIMETIME 🕚

48 Hours (CBS, 10 p.m. / Paramount+, Sunday): When a young mother goes missing, a tracker and detective must track down the murdered woman. And no, it isn't Justin Hartley with a mustache.

Friends and Lovers (Lifetime, 8 p.m.): SERIES PREMIERE. No, this isn't a reboot of the short-lived Paul Sand '70s sitcom. "A struggling comedian's love for a doctor deepens, while his loyal best friend finds himself entangled with a free-spirited woman. When tragedy strikes the group, they're forced to rebuild and transform their bond from friendship into chosen family."✔️

🎥🎄 Three Wisest Men (Hallmark Channel, 8 p.m. / Hallmark+, Sunday): Disappointed in his already weakening grip on Christmasia, Dracula calls in reinforcements and sets his sights on a march north to spread Christmasia's military thin. But on the outskirts of the Reindeer River Valley, he sees his old nemesis Van Helsing, who he long believed dead but has really been living in Christmasia for the last 15 years. Disturbed by this development -- the one man who knows him too well -- Dracula turns to his trusted three of Azrael, Miller the Wizard, and Fenrisúlfr for direction. However, it doesn't go as hoped. Miller the Wizard, always too transparent, marches for a head-on confrontation that Van Helsing expects and runs down both him and his army of goblins and ghouls. Fenrisúlfr, trying to avoid previous mistakes, meets his dark end when he starts to tear into Befana's forest, which enrages her as she calls on some spirits and her old friends, the abominable snowmonsters, who gladly remove Fenrisúlfr's head from his body. Panicked, Dracula begins to retreat back to safer territory, but Van Helsing and his band of elves, whos, and gnomes are right on his tale. This becomes a take-no-prisoners affair.
