What's On Tonight (Saturday): That's News to me

Have I Got News for You

Hey ya, girls just want to have icky thump! Here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, November 8!

Our Top Pick tonight is the season finale of Have I Got News for You (CNN, 9 p.m.). While it's only been a bit more than a year since this British adaptation panel show premiered, it wraps season 3 tonight. I find the show fine for amusing background noise.

Elsewhere, Nikki Glaser is Live from New York, Soundgarden was good at rocking, Jiaoying Summers aims for laughs, Antone's Nightclub goes to the Limits, and Lifetime goes to church.

(All times are Eastern. All listings are new unless otherwise stated. For more listings, visit The Futon Critic or Gracenote.)

48 Hours (CBS, 10 p.m. / Paramount+, Sunday): The murders of a beloved doctor, his wife and their young daughter leave their Santa Barbara community reeling.

πŸŽ₯πŸŽ„ Christmas Above the Clouds (Hallmark, 8 p.m. / Hallmark+, Sunday): Though there was a modest victory in Newport that stopped the Hallo-Koal Alliance forces fast advancement, Christmasia is still in chaos. Enemy forces marched hundreds of miles into the nation and now occupy numerous lands, including vital agriculture hubs across the Peppermint Plains. One reason for the Alliance's easy advancement was their gargoyle scouts. To combat them, Gens. Prancer and Comet call up their cherubim squadrons. However, these rather priminitive units have only scouted, In their patchwork aircraft, they've never fought in the air, but now, they must, and against creatures born with wings. The squadrons, largely comprised of whos and pixies (which legend says once had wings), are led by Wally Sue. There's also Lt. Rudolph, who shows a strong knack for flying. But the gargoyles, under the command of Annie the Goblinmaster are veterans of air combat. The one way for the cherubim to win is to lure the gargoyles into battle in the cloudy Moonracer Mountains. They have some maps. Gargoyles have none. High risk, high reward.

⭐ Have I Got News for You (CNN, 9 p.m.): SEASON FINALE. On this third season finale, Late Nighter Jenny Hagel joins fellow Late Nighter and HIGNFY team captain Amber Ruffin. Also joining is Sen. Adam Schiff. I wouldn't be surprised if Jenny is with other captain Michael Ian Black.
