What's On Tonight (Sunday): It's Smiling at me

Smiling Friends

Will no one stop Taylor Sheridan?! Here's what's on television for tonight, Sunday, October 19!

Our Top Pick tonight is Smiling Friends (Adult Swim, 11:30 p.m. / HBO Max, Monday). This animated comedy tracks the surreal misadventures of four employees of a small charity. I haven't sampled the show since the pilot (currently in its third season), but there is a substantial amount of praise for the show, created by Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack, especially the animation, which  also includes computer animation, rotoscoping and stop motion, among others.

Elsewhere, the Simpsons make their annual trip to the treehouse, Task handles the final task, CBS hits the Road, Tracker tracks his family tracks, Malory finds that darn time capsule, Daryl Dixon protects people, music is the NOLA Soul, and Adult Swim welcomes You Clowns.
