beware of Harlan Crow

Politics Corner got his annual flu shot. That could be an excuse but I do well with vaccines so I should be good for another year for that. This morning was spent tracking down whether or not I am eligible for continuing care with my current health system. Perhaps with my primary. Maybe with my GI. Should be with my ID -- if I stop taking my antibiotic I could fall into MRSA and nobody wants that. I have two cardiologists. One does the meds and the other tracks my pacemaker. I don't know what I'd do without either. I have another family practitioner on top of that. Last week when my pancreatitis was flaring up I didn't know if I could call my GI. If I went to the ER would it be the prior or one or the future one that I'm not in the system yet? Luckiily the sourdough baking party that I was at last weekend was at the house of a GI doctor. I got a simple question answered -- not a diagnosis or prescription, I would never! But I'm fortunate. Most people in my place don't have those options.
This is why the government is shut down. Republicans want to take everyone's health care away and Democrats want everyone to have health care. It really is that simple.
