Person's Day (Wikipedia) is celebrated in Canada. On this day in 1929 the courts ruled that Women are considered Persons, and thus entitled to the same rights as men under the British North America Act of 1867 that created Canada. The Five Women shown above had challenged the definition in an attempt to get a woman appointed to the Canadian Senate.
