Superman

Top Pick goes to the streaming premiere of Superman on HBO Max.  This was a no-brainer for me.  I already saw the film in theaters and loved it.  It's funny, fast, emotional, optimistic, exhilarating and Corenswet and Brosnahan are perfectly cast (particularly the latter).  I wasn't quite as sold on Hoult's lex Luthor, but that's because Clancy Brown has ruined all Lex Luthors for me unless they sound like Clancy Brown.

*As Halloween comes to Costco, so it comes to the streamers (just kidding, Halloween came to Costco weeks ago).  Netflix has a fun looking new animated series called Haunted Hotel, which is not an exciting title, but it sure lays out what the show is about.  The voice cast includes Will Forte and Eliza Coupe.

*From the writer/director of the Tubi original drag queens vs vampires horror film, Slay, comes another monosyllabic titled Tubi original horror film, Takeout.  This one deals with three workers at a late-night diner trying to prove if one of their customers is a serial killer.  It might not be good, but the trailer looks enjoyable, and it's on Tubi, so it's free!  That's a tough price to beat.
