Two Big 10 teams are at 1 and 3 this week and they're the two programs with well-earned nasty reputations so I'm loathe to feature either of them. Fortunately I don't need to feature Wisconsin's embarrassing defeat at the hands of Maryland either. There was another Big 10 matchup that set a record. Indiana now holds the record for the largest margin over a team in the top 10 with their 53 point spread over Illinois. I would not want to be in Champaign-Urbana right now. [CBS]

I could be forgiven for bragging on the Brewers but I know that was inevitable. The story of the week is the Mariners stomping on the Astros. The Mariners could be on the verge of the playoffs and the Astros could get knocked out to the delight of everyone except my family in Katy, TX. [Seattle Times]
