Let's go back to Freshman Biology. No. Not that part. We'll get there later if you're good. Right now let's talk about osmosis. If you were paying attention you might remember that osmosis is the key to how all or your cells or any living cells operate. It's how things permeate cell walls. It's how energy is transferred throughout your system. It seems a bit late in civilization for us to be figuring out that we can use osmosis on a large scale. Japan has built the second (after Denmark - owner of Greenland) Osmotic Power Plant. By using the charge between fresh (or fresh waste) water an salt water they can produce enough power to tun the nearby desalination plant - necessary for an island nation - along with about 200 households.
