Philadelphia's DA explicitly accused Trump of attempting another coup. Milwaukee's Mayor slapped back at VP Vance who threatened Milwaukee from LaCrosse. He might not have realized that he was in a blue city that is nearer to Minneapolis than Milwaukee. I doubt he would know the difference.
