What's On Tonight (Thursday): What An Epic Ride It's Been

Via Tumblr.

Tonight's Top Pick is Epic Ride: The Story of Universal Theme Parks. I've never been to the Hollywood or Orlando parks, and I'm sure they're maybe not as unique as they were in the '90s, but still, it would be nice to see either or both at least once.

While I reflect on the tram ride not yet taken, let's see what else TV has to offer us for Thursday, July 24. All times are Eastern.

STREAMING
Epic Ride: The Story of Universal Theme Parks, 3:01 a.m., Peacock. Series premiere. "This three-part docuseries celebrates the history and legacy of Universal Destinations & Experiences. Through unprecedented access, rare archival and intimate interviews with directors, producers, executives, and A-list celebrities, the series will explore Universal's iconic film and theme park history as well as provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes countdown to the opening of its groundbreaking new theme park, Universal Epic Universe." Three episodes available.

Code of Silence, 3:01 a.m., Britbox. Series premiere. "Alison Brooks (Rose Ayling-Ellis), a deaf canteen worker, is struggling to make ends meet, juggling two jobs, one in a police canteen and another in a local bar, while also doing her best to support her deaf mum, Julie (Fifi Garfield). It's not long before Alison is pulled into a high-stakes police investigation when DS Ashleigh Francis (Charlotte Ritchie) asks that she use her lip-reading skills to monitor a dangerous criminal gang. As her interpretation of their covert conversations becomes central to the investigation, Alison is plunged into an exhilarating new world. Her role quickly becomes key to unlocking the police case, but her feelings become complicated when she finds herself drawn to one of the suspects, Liam Barlow (Kieron Moore). Despite knowing the risks and the growing threat to her personal life, Alison can't let go." Two episodes available, followed by one per week through Thursday, Aug. 21.
