For anyone out of the loop I am still in the Loop. Chicago that is. There was one and only one sports story in Chicago this weekend. Anyone still need proof that God doesn't care who wins at sportsball? I won't speculate on whether the Pope prays about things that many of his parishioners care deeply about. I do know that his favorite White Sox lost the Crosstown Classic to the Cubs. I was in the Holiest of Holies, Harry Caray's 7th Inning Stretch, for the final, deciding game. I was rooting for the Sox because they suck so much and could use the win. It didn't hurt that my Brewers switched Leagues and now the Cubs are the hated rivals. I don't hate them. I grew up near the Illinois border and my dad was born in Chicago. Anyway, it looked like Sox were going to win and then it turned. And I tried to ignore the giant screens and I felt a oneness with Pope Leo XIV. [Sports Illistrated]

So this leads us to the more important question - at least to a few of us - where does this leave the top ranked Milwaukee Brewers? Damn it, we're tied with the Cubs. And behind Toronto! I think they are taking this tariff thing seriously. [Milwaukee Journal Sentinel]
