What's On Tonight (Thursday): There will be Death in the Valley for me someday ...

Tonight's Top Pick is the first season finale of Death Valley, which has been streaming on BritBox. Because I just couldn't justify giving it to the burnoff finale of Children Ruin Everything or the premiere of Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together.

While I reflect on how we've got just about three more months until the fall season, let's see what else TV has to offer us for Thursday, June 26. All times are Eastern.

STREAMING
Death Valley, 3:01 a.m., Britbox. First season finale. "John and Janie unravel a mystery involving a murder at a school reunion, a cold case, and a shocking discovery from Janie's past. John risks their friendship with unexpected news."

Children Ruin Everything, 3:01 a.m., The CW App. Series finale. "Sleepovers," "Growth," "Consideration," and "Time." "Astrid and James worry that Viv may be too weird to make friends. When they encourage Viv to invite some classmates over for a sleepover, they learn that the only thing scarier than their own children are other people's children." Later, "Astrid tries to steer Viv's interests away from outdated children's books while James attempts to foster Felix's interest in drawing." Next, "Astrid leaves no stone unturned as she tries to find her phone before she misses a prize-winning call from a radio station. James and Ennis are given their first task as co-heads of GOBO but have a falling out over their work styles." Finally, "Astrid and James put together a complex summer schedule of camps, activities and work that only leaves one day where the entire family is free. The pressure is on to make the most of their time together." Four episodes available.

Butchers of L.A., 3:01 a.m., AMC+ and Sundance Now/10 p.m., Sundance. Series premiere. "Trash Bags," "On the Freeway," and "Keeping Score." "This series sheds new light on the horrifying crimes of Patrick Kearney, William Bonin and Randy Kraft, three predators who terrorized Southern California over two decades, targeting young men and killing over 50 victims between them. While the three serial killers operated independently, their overlapping methods and victim profiles confounded law enforcement, creating years of uncertainty over just who was responsible for which of the murders. Through in-depth interviews, archival footage and expert analysis, the series meticulously details the killings, exposing the dark side of Los Angeles like never before." Three episodes available on streaming, one episode airing weekly on TV through Thursday, July 10.

Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together, 3:01 a.m., Peacock. Series premiere. "(Follow) the electrifying journey of this beloved couple as they reignite their love, navigate the ups and downs of newlywed life and the challenges of parenthood while juggling their thriving careers. Can this unstoppable duo prove that their love truly can conquer all? A fun-filled exploration of love's second chances." Eight episodes available.

Good Ship Murder, 3:01 a.m., Britbox. Second season premiere. "Busy revising for her upcoming Staff Captain interview, Kate (Catherine Tyldesley) is pleased to be asked by Jack (Shayne Ward) to the opera in Rome. The stage is set for them to make their romance official, until Jack finds himself torn between Kate and an unexpected guest, his 18-year-old daughter, Mia (Millie Kent)." Episodes weekly through Thursday, Aug. 14.

Criminal Minds: Evolution, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. "Tara." "When the team works to hunt down the person who shot Tara, they discover 'The Disciple' deliberately had them chasing their tails. While undergoing critical surgery, Tara gets to the root of her relationship issues." LaTanya Richardson Jackson guests as Tara's mother.

Divorced Sistas, 3:01 a.m., BET+. "Line in the Sand." "Naomi lashes out in response to her ex-husband's ultimate act of disrespect, and Rasheda and Pastor Jefferson have a moment of hurtful truths."

Poker Face, 3:01 a.m., Peacock. "The Big Pump." "Charlie is convinced by her new gym buddy that there is more behind the tragic death of a local weightlifter than just bad technique." Guests include Method Man, Jason Ritter, Patti Harrison, Natasha Leggero, and Myra Lucretia Taylor.
