What's On Tonight (Wednesday): Say Cheese

Government Cheese

[*Ed Sullivan voice*] Ladies and gentlemen, the beetles! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, May 28!

Our Top Pick tonight is the season finale of Government Cheese (Apple TV+, midnight). This period comedy finds David Oyelowo right out of prison and struggling to get his life back as his family found a new structure in his absence. He also has several run-ins with past acquaintances, both shady and dangerous. All this while trying to sell his million-dollar idea of a power drill. It reminds me of a Showtime kinda show from the early 2010s.

Elsewhere, FX welcomes some twenty-somethings to Adulthood, Sitting Bull battles George Custer, Pete Holmes spins the Wheel, women go to the Academy, kids gotta spell, D+ travels to a Brave New WorldStrangers venture to a museum, and beetles Rule the World.
