What's On Tonight (Tuesday): Let My Love Open the 'Dor

Happy Earth Day! Tonight's Top Pick is the premiere of Andor's second and final season, happening at 9 p.m. on Disney+. New episodes of Andor are being released three at a time through Tuesday, May 13.


While I catch up on ... *checks notes* ... 48 years of Star Wars lore, let's see what else TV has to offer us for Tuesday, April 22. All times are EST.


STREAMING
Common Ground, 3:01 a.m., Amazon. Special presentation. "The highly anticipated follow-up to the monumentally successful film Kiss the Ground (which) explores how Americans from different walks of life, different political backgrounds, and different parts of the country share one mission in common – saving the soil beneath our feet." A director's cut of Kiss the Ground will also be available for streaming.

The Murder of Joanna Yeates, 3:01 a.m., Amazon. Special presentation. "Looks into the case of Yeates, who was found murdered on Christmas Day in 2010 after going missing from her home in Bristol. The case became a grim lesson how media frenzies can go wrong, with Yeates’ innocent landlord, Christopher Jefferies, accused of murder and put on trial by the press. A Dutch national living in the building was later jailed for the killing."

Sea Lions of the Galapagos, 3:01 a.m., Disney+. Special presentation. "Narrated by Brendan Fraser, (this documentary) dives underwater with Leo, a handsome sea lion pup whose lifelong quest to find his place in the world is fraught with challenges and filled with new encounters with an array of creatures, from marine iguanas and racer snakes to yellow fin tuna and huge Galapagos sharks."

Guardians of the Galapagos, 3:01 a.m., Disney+. Special presentation. "Blair Underwood narrates this behind-the-scenes look at Sea Lions of the Galapagos as the Disneynature crew captures intimate sea lion behaviors, while showcasing the challenges that threaten the archipelago and the community of champions - the Guardians of the Galapagos - who work to protect this magical place."

Race For The Crown, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. Series premiere. "This rousing documentary series tails jockeys, trainers and owners as they chase titles and triumph in the Triple Crown of thoroughbred horse racing." Six episodes available.

The Handmaid's Tale, 12:01 a.m., Hulu. "Janine." "June and Moira go undercover. Serena and Nick make consequential choices."


TALKIN' 'BOUT TALK
Today, 7 a.m., NBC. Segments may vary due to new coverage of Pope Francis' death and/or preemptions from Monday. A new study on teens, social media, and mental health, plus Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal (The Accountant 2), and Today Food. Later, "By the Numbers: Earth Day," Miami's Fruit and Spice Garden, Kyle and Samantha Busch on National Infertility Awareness Week, "The Upside: José Andrés," and more Today Food. Finally, Andy Cohen guest co-hosts on an hour with "What's Poppin'," more plugging of The Accountant 2, now with Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Minka Kelly (Ransom Canyon), the best sustainable brands, and in "Read With Jenna," Amity Gage, author of Heartwood.
