What's On Tonight (Thursday): Organized Crime's such a mess!

Tonight's Top Pick is the fifth season premiere of Law & Order: Organized Crime, dropping two episodes at 3 a.m. on Peacock and one episode at 10 p.m. on NBC. Because, with makeup like that, you want everybody to see it.

While I imagine Tracey Ullman as Ruby Romaine working on Chris Meloni's kisser, let's see what else TV has to offer us for Thursday, April 17. All times are EST.

STREAMING
#1 Happy Family USA, 3:01 a.m., Amazon. Series premiere. "A provocative and comedic tale on the Muslim-American experience, co-created by Ramy Youssef and Pam Brady. The series follows the maniacally upbeat Husseins - the most patriotic, most peaceful, and most definitely-not-suspicious Muslim family in post-9/11 'Amreeka.' With satire and absurdity, it redefines finding humor in hardship as they navigate the early 2000s under the watchful eyes of their terrified neighbors." The cast includes Youssef, Alia Shawkat, Mandy Moore, Chris Redd, and Salma Hindy. Animated, eight episodes available.

Ransom Canyon, 3:01 a.m., Netflix. Series premiere. "Welcome to Ransom Canyon, where love, loss, and loyalty collide beneath the crimson mesas of Texas Hill Country. With three ranching family dynasties locked in a contest for control of the land, their lives and legacies are threatened by outside forces intent on destroying their way of life. At the center of it all is stoic rancher Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel), who is healing from heartbreaking loss and on a quest for vengeance. Staten's only glimmer of hope rests in the eyes and heart of Quinn O'Grady (Minka Kelly), longtime family friend and owner of the local dancehall. But as the battle to save Ransom wages on, a mysterious cowboy drifts into town, dredging up secrets from the past. Vise tightening, Staten fights to protect the land he calls home, and the only love that can pull him back from the demons that haunt him." Ten episodes available.

Law & Order: Organized Crime, 3:01 a.m., Peacock/10 p.m., NBC. Fifth season premiere. "Lost Highway" and "Dante's Inferno." "Stabler goes undercover as a big rig driver to expose an international smuggling ring. As he settles into his new identity, he gets to know the 'working girls' and a pattern of disappearances emerges." Later, "Stabler recovers from a grievous injury while Captain Olivia Benson oversees both his recovery and the still unsolved case of the missing sex worker, Sad Eyes." Two episodes available for streaming, one episode airing on broadcast TV. This is followed by one episode per week on Peacock through Thursday, June 12.

Leverage: Redemption, 3:01 a.m., Amazon. Third season premiere. "The Weekend in Paris Job," "The Digital Frankenstein Job," and "The Scared Stiff Job." Three episodes available, followed by one per week through Thursday, June 5.

Boarders, 3:01 a.m., Tubi. Second season premiere. Six episodes available.

Bosch: Legacy, 3:01 a.m., Amazon. Series finale. "Badlands" and "Dig Down." Two episodes available.

The Wheel of Time, 3:01 a.m., Amazon. Third season finale. "He Who Comes With The Dawn."

Ludwig, 3:01 a.m., Britbox. First season finale. "A cryptic late night call from Holly sees Lucy lured into danger. Back at the station, all eyes are on John as the pressure ramps up. Will his cover finally be blown?"

Agatha Christie's Towards Zero, 3:01 a.m., Britbox. "After an explosive night, a shocking murder is discovered at the estate, and Detective Leach must find his purpose again if he is to uproot the dark secrets of Gull's Point." Episode II of III. Concludes tomorrow.

Happy Face, 3:01 a.m., Paramount+. "Lorelai." "Melissa and Ivy find unknown footage of Heather that changes everything. Elijah gets his day in court. Ben gets bad news. Joyce's secret is revealed."

TALKIN' 'BOUT TALK
Today, 7 a.m., NBC. New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan discusses Holy Week, plus the 20th anniversary of The Office, Adrianna Brach with the Shop Today Travel Awards, and Poppy O'Toole prepares an Easter brunch. Later, Dr. Sandra Lee on practicing safe skincare habits, a look at Houston Traffic Control's mini-murals, Cody Rhodes (the "What Do You Wanna Talk About" podcast), more travel awards, and spring break and holiday crafts. Finally, Tyra Banks guest co-hosts on an hour with "The Scoop" from Nessa Diab, Josh Duhamel (Ransom Canyon), more Today Food and Lake Bell (All About Brains).

I'm going to digress here for just a moment, and say something shallow. Cody Rhodes looked much better without the blond hair. Mileage may vary.
