You know how your appliances and equipment generally work according to specs? Doge just threw all of those specifications out the window. Utilities and manufacturers are just as upset as environmentalists. Utilities can only provide so much electricity, so much water or we'll all become Texas in winter. Do we really want to become the only first world country with rolling brownouts? Manufacturers are concerned that foreign rivals will flood the market with cheap imitations because American labor is not cheap. Environmentalists are angry because this will do immense damage to the world and our own backyard. [ProPublica]
