The courts have halted the withholding of funding. The Musk administration has halted the authority of the judiciary. The executive/billionaire coup is complete. Congress gave up without a whimper. Just a furrowed brow from Susan Collins. That and that combover is, as someone mentioned today, is becoming increasingly hypothetical. [ProPublica]

Trump says that his plan to purge Gaza does not include any right of return. That's ethnic cleansing by definition. That's also genocide in that he won't say where these people will go other than places they will not be allowed. Maybe Morocco and Somalia where they will be separated and lost. I haven't been to Somalia but we've been attempting to fix that since Black Hawk down and it's not working. I have been to Morocco and it's more modern than you think but the modern parts are full. Very full. Any Palestinians sent there are going to be dropped in the desert, maybe with tents, likely not. And no UNRWA. [Axios]

Needless to say Hamas is not taking any of this well. I don't really care about Hamas' feelings but I do care about the possibility of peace. Trump (and Netanyahu) are determined to make peace impossible. I don't like what Hamas is up to at all but it's very predictable and sparked by Trump and Netanyahu's actions. We need some adults in the room and it's far too late for that. [BBC]

I promised Dolly and I brought you Dolly. You would think this would be pure joy because we are talking about Dolly Parton who is the only person that I might give a Nobel Peace Prize before Jose Andres. She's a force for good and kindness throughout the world. She even gives books to children - Toddler A recognizes her as the nice lady who gives her books.

There is a musical at the Manchester Opera House that has also played London about a Dolly superfan who uses her music to overcome obstacles. Oh, and he's gay. That's very common among Dolly superfans. Dolly very famously loves everyone (at least as long as they love others). The production has been interrupted at least three times by people who can't handle seeing a gay person on stage. The name of the production? Here You Come Again. I guess in a way they were asking for it. But if you're going to pay to see anything related to Dolly you really should expect this. [BBC]
