Shifting Gears |
What is Neil deGrasse Tyson? Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, January 15!
Our Top Pick tonight is Shifting Gears (ABC, 8:20 p.m. / Hulu, Thursday). Tim Allen is back with another sitcom and his TV daughter is sitcom vet Kat Dennings. This multi-cam finds the daughter (and mom of 2) returning to her estranged father β some years(?) after wife/mom died β because she is divorced and broke. While I powered through last week's pilot, it took less than 90 seconds to know I was not gonna enjoy it. The introduction of both Allen and Dennings included a "studio audience" applause. Everyone is there to set up punchlines and the political humor is so dimwitted. (NOTE: Start time tonight, like CBS and Fox, is an estimate. They will directly follow the president's address.)
Elsewhere, President Biden says goodbye, Scam Goddess migrates to TV, Melissa Peterman forms a question, HBO has an Update on Our Family, CristΓ³bal Balenciaga gets TV biography series treatment, Shetland gets shocking, Abbott takes a test, and Love Island welcomes back some stars.
