Abbott Elementary |
Philadelphia crossfire! Here's what's on television for tonight, Wednesday, January 8!
Our Top Pick tonight is the oddball crossover event on Abbott Elementary (ABC, 8:30 p.m. / Hulu, Thursday). The gang from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are going to elementary school, putting these 2 Disney-owned shows in a shared universe. It sounds really odd (we're nearing the 40th anniversary of St. Elsewhere/Cheers) but I'm hopeful this big swing works. The season has been pretty solid, mostly. I'm still rooting for an Abbott crossover with Schooled, Philly, Doctor FaceHands, Mare of Easttown, or thirtysomething. Those thirtysomething toddlers are now thirtysomethings!
Elsewhere, Kat Dennings is Shifting Gears, Chicago is One again, Shetland has a missing mother and son, the Sistas are reeling, quasi-celebrities take the Toughest Test, Price Is Right is back after dark, A&E loves it some copaganda, and W. Kamau Bell answers in the form of a question.
