What's On Tonight (Saturday): We're gonna rock it tonight! They're gonna get it Saturday Night

Saturday Night's Main Event

I'm Batman! Here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, December 14!

Our Top Pick tonight is the return of Saturday Night's Main Event (NBC & Peacock, 8 p.m.). This is a third revival of the WWE's occasional event that was a staple in the '80s and was briefly revived in both the '90s and '00s. It is in primetime, so it won't preempt Saturday Night Live.

Elsewhere, Chris Rock is Live from New York, Hollywood is on parade, 48 Hours searches for Batman, One Piece has a showdown, a person gets the Heisman Trophy, and Fight Girl throws a Hail Mary.

(All times are Eastern. All listings are new unless otherwise stated. For more listings, visit The Futon Critic or Zap2it.)

In the two months since Willie "the Claus" Stokes delivered Ded to Krampus, Ded hasn't had a great deal of dislike for his father or the way he has run the country -- at least from his limited point of view. Frosty and Sandman sneak into the Federation fortifications to try and get Ded to return with them -- to his mother and family. However, it doesn't work. He won't go willingly. When Mr. Potter learns of their presence, the entire city goes on lock down as he won't allow Frosty or Sandman to return to Christmasia. Dead or alive, he wants them to stay.

These newbies must put old classroom disagreements and grievances aside, a thing twenty-somethings aren't good at doing. Rising to the occasion are Harry Bailey and Geppetto Olive-Tree, who lead teams that cease any more movement of the Grinch's army of dark elves. The Christmasia troops are corralled better when Lt. Rudolph arrives to reinforce Comet and help settle disputes within the groups.
