What's On Tonight (Saturday): Close to you, this Carpenter is on top of the world

A Carpenter Christmas Romance

Take me to church! Here's what's on television for tonight, Saturday, December 21!

Our Top Pick tonight is the TV movie A Carpenter Christmas Romance (Lifetime, 8 p.m.). Why? There aren't many options and holiday movies are generally a last resort. This cabler pairs up Sasha Pieterse (Pretty Little Liars, anyone?) and Mitchell Slaggert (Kimberly's season 2 boy toy on The Sex Lives of College Girls). This is not some taboo Karen and Richard Carpenter fanfic.

Elsewhere, Martin Short is Live from New York, Fight Girl unlocks new abilities, Juju Watkins Rises once more, Christmas is 24-Karat, Fox has some Hoop dreams, and JonBenΓ©t Ramsey gets reexamined... again.

Dracula will help Krampus and in return, Dracula will have additional support in his stifling of a percolating rebellion. 6 months later, the first line of Hallowsland aid arrives: gargoyle scouts. They help with espionage efforts, working in the Christmasia shadows -- coaxing politicians, overseeing interrogations, and carrying out assassinations. Later, the goblin and ghoul regiments arrive, who had a heavy hand in the recent taking of Christmasias southern lands by the Koal Federation. Finally, the elite Werewolf Guard arrives. Led by the famed Wolfman of Gilgamesh, they and Koal Federation battle elves enter the Battle of Varm Frostid, surprising all Christmasia forces, who overwhelmingly flee the battlefields. The Wolfman, Grieg the Troll King, and Annie the Goblinmaster begin a reign of terror stopped only by having limited resources for a vast and sparsely populated region. This surprise from Krampus throws Christmasia into turmoil. The underground peace movement dies, military intelligence sees many resignations for missing this, and morale among troops plummets, facing a new enemy with a face never seen before. A growing number even call on Prime Minister Kris Kringle to step aside and let a new government be elected. Kringle is saved from a vote of no confidence vote by Baroness Holly DeCarlo flipping at the last minute.
